Moving to a new Town or trying to start a new business in a new place can be very challenging without a bit of help, good thing we got a Chinese Business Event for Newcomers in Oakville scheduled on Wednesday!
Clear Your Schedule!
The Oakville Chinese Business Association and Mayor Burton invite everyone Chinese who is interested in starting a business in Oakville to drop by the Chinese Business Event for Newcomers this Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Town Hall. The event will be in both Mandarin and English.
This event is to welcome and recognize the many Chinese immigrants who’ve chosen to make Oakville their home. The Town of Oakville wants to provide business information and resources to new residents so they’d feel more at home.
Be There!
The event is scheduled in the morning at South Atrium, Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville Ontario, L6H 0H3 on April 12, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Local businesses and companies that can provide resources and services to the local Chinese business community are welcome to attend or have a booth. The Town of Oakville shared that there is a limited number of available spaces so registering for a space is based on availability only. Should you be interested or want to register, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
Cultivating Chinese Connections
It may not be as widely known but Oakville has been actively cultivating business and trade connections with other countries. In fact, our Town has participated in quite a number of trade missions to China. Those who may be interested in exploring international opportunities for business in other countries, the business contacts developed by Oakville’s government leaders can help you out. You inquire about this and future trade missions led by mayor Rob Burton by visiting Invest Oakville. This additional level of trust will no doubt prove to be of great value in building international business relationships for your business.
Oakville’s government not only welcomes new Chinese immigrants by giving them access to resources they need to start a business but can also help local businesses gain global traction by connecting to international markets. Our government’s Economic Development team can match up local businesses with international contacts to help them succeed in the international business scene.
