It also has additional features which includes timely alerts regarding weather events and service disruptions and also allows users to locate the nearest facilities, parks, trails, and cycle ways.

The new mobile app is just one of the many innovative online services that the Town has made available for residents via Oakville.ca. There’s FindOakville, which is just a site selection tool that lets users look for available industrial and commercial buildings plus vacant employment land. There’s also a new interactive mapping tool for sports field amenities, parks, and building permits as well as the form for the temporary on-street parking permit.
New features will be added to the Oakville app as new services become available and as the Town continues to strive to provide residents and the community with ways for a better government. In fact, residents are in for a new pleasant surprise at a later time this year when Oakville Transit will be implementing a new GPS technology-based Intelligent Transport System that will be able to track buses in real-time.
