Oakville has once again earned national recognition for its strength as a place to invest, marking the eighth consecutive year the town has been named one of Canada’s Best Locations by Site Selection Magazine.
The international business publication recognizes 20 regions across Canada each year based on qualifying corporate facility projects, evaluating factors including project activity, capital investment and job creation. Oakville has appeared on the list every year since 2019.
The latest recognition follows another active year for Oakville’s business community. Between June 2025 and May 2026, several companies established operations in Oakville, including Laurentis Energy Partners, Miura Canada Co. Ltd., AFX Mixing and Pumping Technologies and BorderWorx.
Investment is also continuing in sectors such as innovation and advanced manufacturing. In April 2026, the Government of Canada announced a $23 million investment toward a $70 million Siemens Canada project to expand its Global AI Manufacturing Technologies Research and Development Centre for Battery Production in Oakville. The project forms part of a broader $150 million investment by Siemens.
For those of us who live and work here, recognition like this offers another perspective on Oakville’s continued evolution. The community is not only a desirable place to call home, but also one attracting businesses, employment and significant corporate investment.
Through Invest Oakville and its 2025–2029 Economic Development Plan, the Town continues to focus on strengthening the local economy, attracting investment and jobs, and creating the conditions for businesses to establish themselves and grow here.
Eight consecutive years of recognition speaks to something larger than a single project or announcement. It reflects the consistency of a community that continues to attract investment while evolving for the future.
